Great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk will be commemorated in EMU

On the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the death of Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) will hold a commemoration ceremony in front of the EMU Atatürk Monument on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 08:45.

As part of the program of the ceremony which will be organized by the EMU Atatürk Research and Application Center (ATAUM) and the Atatürk Ideology Club, a wreath will be laid on the Atatürk Monument by the Rector of EMU , Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın at 9:00 a.m. 09:03, Assistant president EMU-ATAUM. Teacher. Dr. Turgay Bülent Göktürk will read the November 10 statement. After a moment of silence and the national anthem at 09:05, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın will deliver a speech. After the speeches, at 9:20 a.m., a choir composed of students from the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education, Music Education Program will perform a concert. At 09:30 a.m., the opening of the painting exhibition titled “Atatürk and the Photos of Atatürk in the Press of 1938” will take place in the hall of the Central Amphitheaters building. Faculty members are required to attend the ceremony in their gowns.

The 26th Chief of General Staff of the Republic of Turkey (R), General İlker Başbuğ, who will visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as part of the commemoration of Atatürk organizations on November 10 , will give a lecture titled “Statesman Mustafa Kemal Atatürk” at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Convention Center at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022. The lecture, which is expected to attract a large attendance, will be open to the public.
